The 2017 Louisiana Nursing Education Capacity Report and 2016 Nurse Supply Addendum Report is Available Online

The 2017 Nursing Education Capacity and 2016 Nurse Supply Report is derived from an analysis of the data obtained from the 2016-2017 annual reports submitted by undergraduate and graduate nursing programs in Louisiana to the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Information such as the number of applicants accepted into the programs each year, the number of students enrolled in clinical nursing courses, the number of graduates, and reasons why qualified students are not admitted are used to determine RN education capacity. The 2016 Nurse Supply report provides 2016 baseline data on registered nurses (RNs) and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) that renewed their license using the ORBS online renewal system during the 2017 licensure renewal season.
